Numbering that holds up
One sequence per year, written as {n}/{year}. Koverta assigns the number and keeps the sequence whole, which is the part an auditor actually reads.
You never type a number yourself, and you never have to remember which one you used last.

The format is {n}/{year}
Each invoice takes the next integer in the year's sequence, followed by the year: 41/2026, then 42/2026, then 43/2026.

The sequence resets per year
A new year starts the counter again at 1. The previous year's sequence is closed and stays exactly as it was issued.

Numbers are assigned at finalization
A draft has no number. It gets one the moment you finalize it, so a draft you abandon or rewrite cannot burn a number and leave a hole behind.

A voided invoice keeps its number
Voiding does not remove the invoice from the sequence. The number stays where it was, marked void, so nobody has to ask what happened to it.
Clients abroad, one archive at home
Invoices for international clients go out as PDFs. Every one you issue is filed into the current month, next to the documents you forwarded to [email protected] and the receipts you photographed.
On your send day, the zip reaches your accountant with those invoice PDFs already inside. There is no export step and no separate invoice archive to keep in sync — what you issued is what they receive.
Koverta is not accounting software. It does not compute your taxes and it does not replace your accountant. It issues the invoice, keeps the PDF, and makes sure the right person has it at the end of the month.
